The official press conference of the Department of Postal Services (DPS) and the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy regarding the progress of the digital transformation of Cyprus Post was successfully held, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy Mr. Nikodimos Damianou and the Minister of Transport Mr. Alexis Vafeadis.
At the centre of the discussion was the Counter Automation System (C.A.S.), a €2.2 million project implemented by the consortium COSMOS S.A. – CBS IT Systems Cyprus (a subsidiary of Cosmos Business Systems). The C.A.S. unifies all postal procedures and automates transactions, sales, inventory and accounting data, reducing bureaucracy and improving speed and transparency in citizen service.
The project includes the necessary modern equipment and the integrated information system that simplifies the work of postal operators and increases productivity.
During the press conference, the digital platform ePost (epost.cypruspost.gov.cy) was also demonstrated live. It allows citizens to easily and digitally manage all their postal transactions, enhancing fast and high-quality service.
Beyond this specific project, the COSMOS Group has already implemented and deployed additional solutions for Cyprus Post, such as the Parcel24 lockers, advanced automated sorting systems with OCR that reduce delivery times, and upgraded high-capacity envelope sorting machines.

“The implementation of the C.A.S. and the ePost platform marks an important step toward the full digital transformation of Cyprus Post. Our goal—leveraging our expertise and experience in complex digital transformation projects—is to deliver solutions that simplify processes and create real, measurable value for the citizen.” —
Mr. Nikolas Kolokasidis, Country Manager, CBS IT Systems Cyprus Ltd.
The digital transformation of Cyprus Post now creates the conditions for faster, more transparent and more efficient postal services, paving the way for even more innovative functions in the future.
