Αpplication for the management of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)

CBS IT Systems has undertaken the project of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Cyprus for the
development of an application for the management of a register of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and a register of beneficial owners and the storage of data in data centers in the
Republic of Cyprus.

The scope of the project is the development of an application for the operation and management of two
registers, the NGO register and the beneficial owner register, which will be hosted in
data centers and the ability to access the information via the internet from the
government portal Ariadne, to which the NGOs themselves and the
staff of the Ministry of Interior will have access.

The aim of the project is:

• Relief of the workload of the Commissioners and acceleration of the examination of NGO cases
• Harmonization of the Republic with the directive concerning the beneficial owner
• Faster start of the next stage of NGOs, which provides for the systematic evaluation
  of their work.
