The Digital Upgrading of Enterprises Plan announced by the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, is included in the THALEIA 2021-2027 Program and is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the EU and the Republic of Cyprus, aims to encourage investments in digital entrepreneurship and to enhance the degree of integration of digital technology in enterprises that are established or will be established in areas of Cyprus.
The second call for applications with an allocation of €10 million started on March 7, 2023 and online applications will last until March 31, 2023.
Eligible candidates are:
- existing small and medium-sized enterprises that will implement expenditures in the digital upgrade category (including e-commerce)
- new small and medium-sized enterprises whose investment proposal necessarily includes e-commerce / store and / or implementation of advanced digital technologies.
The intensity of the sponsorship amounts to:

The eligible costs that can be covered are for:
- Equipment required for digital upgrading,
- “Off the shelf” software,
- Specialized software, systems, programs and IT services,
- other digital upgrading costs not directly related to IT systems.
