Managed Services
The world of technology has evolved into a universe of its own, requiring extremely large teams of experienced and trusted personnel, not only to maintain systems but also to operate them and fully benefit from this investment.

Why do companies need Managed Services?

Technology, financing, systems management policies and data security have changed so much that customers are ready to delegate critical functions of their systems to companies with the appropriate expertise and personnel, because it is difficult to maintain full control of complex installations that constantly require new resources at a reasonable cost.

This is why companies need Managed Services (MS).
The following sections describe the trends that are fueling the increased demand for Managed Services.

  1. Business Complexity
The days when technology could be separated as a separate function or department within a business are over. Technology is a fundamental layer of operations, regardless of the type of business.

Every business function – be it billing, record keeping, backup, data security, payroll management or resource management – depends on technology. These are just the supporting systems. Revenue-generating activities are also tied to Technology. Most industries rely on increasingly complex dashboards, tracking a table of business data, such as manufacturing, inventory, resource management and sales.

Productivity depends on the real-time ability to maintain accurate reporting and coordination between these functions. Even a minimal service interruption results in losses and costs.

Technology is transforming so rapidly that corporate IT departments are hard-pressed to keep up, and when technologies evolve so rapidly, cloud services become even more essential.

  1. Accessibility
At the same time, technology and business operations have become increasingly complex, while access methods are evolving rapidly.

Technology is no longer tied to a desk – or a computer. Many analyst firms predict that by 2018, at least half of enterprise email users will rely primarily on browsers, tablets, or mobile computers rather than their desktops.

At the same time, smartphone and tablet app development will outpace PCs by 4 to 1. Mobility is driving the demand for 24/7, global accessibility and support.

  1. Compliance
Regulatory requirements are so sweeping that even small and medium-sized businesses need sweeping solutions, including network, data and device security. Protecting data from intrusion, theft or disclosure online or to third parties is a critical need. All electronic records must be analyzed, archived and made available for audit on an annual basis.

Most companies do not have the IT staff, tools or training to meet the storage and security obligations imposed by these regulations. Even if they could develop the expertise and hire the right staff, the cost is prohibitive – and disproportionately higher, especially for small and medium-sized businesses.

However, while many organizations need security solutions, the fear of giving access to sensitive information to an outside partner makes many decision makers hesitant to outsource security and reporting functions.

This is where CBS IT Systems comes in to provide the required solution and the certainty of a reliable certified data security partner, through ISO 9001 & ISO 27001 certification.

  1. Saving money is the number one reason why customers turn to Managed Services.

The next three reasons concern the need to reduce costs:

  • To better utilize staff and focus on revenue-generating activities
  • To have low-cost and immediate access to the most modern technologies
  • To improve security and the smooth operation of the business (business continuity). Solutions for compliance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) regulatory directive that is in effect from May 25, 2018.

Hardware, maintenance, continuous certification of staff in new technologies and compliance orders make it extremely expensive to maintain updated technology. If you combine these factors with the advantages and of cloud computing, which transforms technology from a capital expense (CapEx) to an operating expense (OpEx), the benefits are even greater.
